Bank Islam has set its sights on enrolling 700 to 800 customers for its newly unveiled Mastercard World Premier Wealth Credit Card-i by the end of this year. This target aligns with the Bank’s commitment to enhancing its offerings for high-net-worth individuals under its Premier Wealth platform.

At a press conference, Datin Zaharah Muttalib, Bank Islam’s Wealth Management Director, underlined the exclusive nature of the card. “The card is tailored for customers with Assets Under Management (AUM) of RM250,000. The card, by invitation only, is crafted to cater to the refined tastes of the Bank’s Premier Wealth clientele, providing them with a host of bespoke privileges and services,” she said.

The Mastercard World Premier Wealth Credit Card-i offers cardholders a unique combination of exclusive benefits and competitive rewards. Among its standout features are access to five Plaza Premium Lounges annually, located across 200 locations in 37 countries, as well as substantial rewards through its TruPoints loyalty programme. Cardholders earn three times the TruPoints for contactless and petrol transactions, double points for overseas offline spending, and one point for every RM1 spent on retail purchases. These rewards can be seamlessly redeemed via the Pay with Rewards™ mobile app at over 100 million Mastercard merchants worldwide.

In addition to rewards, the card offers robust personal protection benefits, including Travel Accident Personal Coverage of up to RM2 million and Group Family Takaful Coverage of up to RM100,000. Furthermore, cardholders enjoy exclusive perks through Mastercard Priceless Offers, providing global discounts and curated experiences.

To encourage early adoption, Bank Islam is rewarding 5,000 Enrich points to the first 200 customers who apply for the card and spend a minimum of RM500 by 31 March 2025. This special offer highlights the Bank’s efforts to provide added value to its Premier Wealth members while fostering loyalty among its clientele.

Mizan Masram, Bank Islam Group Chief Business Officer – Group Retail Banking, emphasised the importance of this launch as a milestone in advancing the Bank’s customer-focused offerings.

“The Bank Islam Mastercard World Premier Wealth Credit Card-i exemplifies our commitment to superior service and unwavering commitment to supporting their financial journey. By integrating Bank Islam’s wealth management services, we ensure a seamless and rewarding experience for our Premier Wealth Banking clients,” he said.
