HSBC Removes Cashback Benefits Of Discontinued HSBC Amanah MPower Credit Card-i
Author Avatar

HSBC Bank has announced that it is fully removing the cashback benefits of its discontinued HSBC Amanah MPower credit card-i, and this change will take effect starting from 1 November 2021.

The existing cashback benefits of the HSBC Amanah MPower credit card-i include 1% cashback on all overseas purchases and 0.5% cashback on local expenses. Once the revision takes place in November, neither of these benefits will apply any longer; cashback will not be awarded for both overseas and local spend anymore.

The other benefit of the card, meanwhile, remains unchanged. For a donation to any cause made using this card, HSBC pledged to contribute a 1% equivalent of your donation amount to its supported charities.

HSBC Amanah MPower Platinum credit card-i

The HSBC Amanah MPower credit card-i should not be mistaken for the entirely different HSBC Amanah MPower Platinum credit card-i. This card offers up to 8% cashback on e-wallet, groceries, and petrol spend, on top of a 0.2% cashback on other eligible spend, and there are no revisions for this card.

The HSBC Amanah MPower credit card-i, on the other hand, has already been discontinued some time back although there are some customers who still hold the card.
