Boost Quietly Reduces Credit Card Reload Limit To RM2,000 Per Month
Author Avatar

Boost has reduced its monthly credit card top-up limit from RM5,000 to RM2,000 per month. The revision, which was quietly introduced, is effective immediately.

The new RM2,000 credit card top-up limit will be applicable to Boost’s Premium Wallet; if you’re a Basic Wallet user, your monthly top-up limit using credit card is set at RM1,000. There are no maximum limits for reloads made via bank transfers or debit cards for both Premium and Basic Wallet.

Boost appears to have implemented this revision without sending any prior notifications to users, with its support page already updated to reflect the change. The reduced limit is also set to affect users’ experience in utilising Boost, as it throttles the amount of cashback or rewards points that they can earn from credit cards via e-wallet reloads.

Meanwhile, other limits for the Boost e-wallet remain unchanged. The wallet size for Premium Wallet remains at RM4,999, with the daily and monthly transaction limit also set at RM4,999. The annual transaction limit is maintained at RM59,999 as well. Basic Wallet, too, continues to keep its wallet size of RM1,000, daily and monthly transaction limit of RM2,000, as well as annual transaction limit of RM24,000.
