Enrich Introduces Enrich Points Pool, Allows Members To Combine Points With Family & Friends
Author Avatar

Malaysia Airlines’ (MAS) frequent flyer programme Enrich has introduced a new feature called the Enrich Points Pool, where Enrich members can combine their Points, as well as those from their family members and friends, in a single pool through eligible transactions. This, in turn, allows you to work your way faster towards a shared redemption goal or reward that can be enjoyed by all of you.

Each Pool is allowed to have a maximum of nine members, consisting of one beneficiary (the person who will claim the reward) and eight contributors (those who contribute their Enrich Points to the Pool). Beneficiaries are responsible for creating the Pool and for registering their family members and friends as nominees, after which they can then add active nominees to the created Pool as contributors. Meanwhile, contributors are allowed to fix the percentage of their Points earnings that they wish to contribute to the Pool; it is not an all-in or all-out situation where you must commit 100% of your earned Points upon joining the Pool.

Each Pool has a validity of five years, ending on the last date of the fifth year (31 December), whereas the Points contributed to the Pool will follow the original expiry date based on the contributors’ earnings (and not the Pool’s expiry date). To clarify, all Enrich Points are valid for three years once it is earned and credited to a member’s account.

Aside from that, note that each Enrich member can only participate in one active Pool at a time, either as a beneficiary or a contributor. As a beneficiary, you will have the right to end a Pool ahead of its expiry date or remove contributors; similarly, contributors can also decide to leave a Pool at any time before the end date, but the Points that have been contributed will not be refunded to each individual contributor. In other words, once your Points have been contributed to the Pool, the transactions cannot be reversed.

Do also be aware that you can only contribute to the Pool with Enrich Points that are earned through your spending. Points obtained via other channels – including Buy Points, Gift Points, Transfer Points, Inehrit Points, and Sponsorship Points – cannot be used to contribute to the Pool. The Enrich Points Pool feature is also not applicable to Elite Points, and cannot be used to help advance your tier status.

If you’d like to give the new Enrich Points Pool feature a try, here’s a quick step-by-step guide from Enrich on how to create and join a Pool via the Enrich Portal:
