The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has announced that all contribution payment counters at its offices across Malaysia will permanently close on 1 July 2026. If you’re an employer who pays contributions in person at a branch, this affects you. All other service counters remain open.
Once the counters close, you can still make contributions through several channels. The KWSP i-Akaun app, internet banking, and bank agent counters all remain available, as do EPF’s Self-Service Terminals and its Mobile KWSP Team and Relationship Advisory services. EPF is directing employers to the i-Akaun (Employer) portal, which it says processes payments more efficiently than walk-in submissions.
Branch offices stay open for account queries, registration, and other services, so visits for anything other than contribution payments are not affected. If you pay at the counter, you’ll need to move to one of the digital or bank-based options before 1 July. If access is an issue, bank agent counters and Self-Service Terminals are also available.
If you’re unsure whether your employer is making the correct contributions on your behalf, you can check your contribution records monthly through your KWSP i-Akaun account.
