The government will soon make an announcement regarding the proposed 50% toll discount in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.
Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said the same method used for the toll discount during Chinese New Year would be applied.
“Of course, we will have a toll discount. We have done it for Chinese New Year, it would be absurd if we don’t do it for Aidilfitri. Be patient. There are just some details that we need to look into,” he told reporters at Kompleks Kerja Raya today.

During the Chinese New Year celebrations, the government offered a two-day toll discount, starting from 12.01am on 27 January until 11.59pm on 28 January.
The discount was applicable only to Class 1 private vehicles. Muslims are expected to celebrate Aidilfitri on 31 March.
Previously, Nanta had said that the government was reviewing a more targeted approach to support the public instead of implementing a toll-free scheme during festive seasons. However, he later confirmed that a 50% toll discount would be applied during all festive seasons this year.
