Prasarana Offers Discounted Price Of RM5 Per Day For MyCity Pass

In an effort to boost domestic tourism, Prasarana Malaysia is offering further discounts on its MyCity passes. The MyCity Pass is a short-term travel pass that allows commuters unlimited rides on the Rapid KL rail (LRT/MRT/Monorail) and BRT networks.

Under the new discounts, you can get the 1-day MyCity Pass for just RM5 and the 3-day pass for RM15, starting from 1 July until 31 December. Prior to this, the MyCity Pass was offered at an already-discounted price of RM10 per day or RM25 for three days; when it was first introduced it was originally priced at RM15 per day.

The MyCity Pass may be purchased at all 122 LRT, MRT, Monorail, and BRT stations. The price of the pass does not include the RM5 cost of the Touch ’n Go card that is required, nor the RM5 minimum balance you need to maintain in the card at all times.

“We hope that this initiative will be able to stimulate economic and business activities, especially in the Klang Valley and Selangor,” said Chief Operating Officer Muhammad Nizam Alias. It is also hoped that the MyCity Pass will help revive the domestic tourism sector that was badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic since last March.

Prasarana also offers a My30 Pass offering unlimited rides for Rapid KL’s rail, BRT, and MRT shuttle bus network for only RM30. The My30 Pass was announced by the Malaysian government during the reveal of the PENJANA economic recovery plan.
