TNG Digital will permanently discontinue Auto Reload and Quick Payment for debit cards on the Touch ‘n Go eWallet from 13 May 2026.
The features were placed under maintenance as part of a review of transaction performance and reliability, and following that review, TNG Digital decided not to reinstate them.
Debit card users who relied on Auto Reload will need to top up manually going forward. Reloads can still be done through DuitNow Transfer, manual debit card reload, Reload PIN, or credit card.
Auto Reload remains available for credit cards, though a 1% convenience fee applies on reloads using Malaysian-issued cards. Reloading RM200 via credit card will cost RM202. For non-Malaysian issued cards, the fee is 2.6%. The fee is waived for reloads via Malaysian-issued debit and prepaid cards, DuitNow Transfer, and Reload PIN credited into Non-Transferable Balance.
For those who regularly drive the West Coast Expressway (WCE), all toll plazas along the highway have supported Touch ‘n Go eWallet PayDirect since 1 May 2026, making WCE the first end-to-end interstate highway to fully support the feature. With PayDirect enabled, toll charges are deducted directly from your Touch ‘n Go eWallet balance automatically, whether you pay via direct TNG payment or SmartTAG.
To enable PayDirect, open the Touch ‘n Go eWallet app, tap Cards on the top shortcut bar, select TNG Card, tap the three dots, and ensure PayDirect is toggled on. If your balance runs low mid-journey, the SOS Balance feature lets you pass through toll plazas and settle the outstanding amount within 24 hours.
WCE becoming fully PayDirect-enabled is part of a broader push to expand the feature across Malaysian highways, with PLUS highways also directed to accelerate their rollout.
