Touch 'n Go eWallet Launches SOS Balance Feature For Toll Payment Convenience
Author Avatar

The Touch ‘n Go (TNG) eWallet has introduced a new feature called SOS Balance, designed to ensure users are not stranded at toll plazas due to insufficient funds in their accounts. This feature activates automatically at Touch ‘n Go RFID and PayDirect-enabled toll plazas if a user does not have enough balance in their eWallet, covering the toll payment on their behalf.

However, not all highways currently support this feature. A comprehensive list of participating highways is available on the TNG Digital website via their FAQ page. Once the SOS Balance is activated, users are granted a 24-hour grace period to repay the amount. If repayment is not made within this timeframe, the SOS Balance feature will be suspended.

Additionally, failure to settle the outstanding amount will result in the inability to use the eWallet for payments or purchases until a reload is completed. Users can either pay the exact amount within the app or allow it to be automatically deducted from their next top-up.

It is important to note that the SOS Balance feature is available only to selected ‘loyal’ eWallet users. TNG Digital has indicated that eligibility requires timely repayment of pending payments, regular reloading of the eWallet, and active usage of the app.
