AEON Bank has introduced Personal Financing-i, a fully digital, Shariah-compliant financing solution designed to offer Malaysians easy access to financial support. The product provides financing amounts ranging from RM1,000 to RM10,000, with repayment tenures between three and 24 months. Upon approval, funds are disbursed directly into the applicant’s AEON Bank Savings Account-i, ensuring swift access without the need for physical documentation or branch visits.

The profit rate for Personal Financing-i is set at a flat 18% per annum, offering customers a fixed repayment structure without fluctuations. Late payments will incur a compensation charge of 1% per annum on the overdue instalment amount, which is calculated daily. Applicants are advised to review the repayment terms carefully to ensure timely payments and avoid additional charges.

To be eligible for the financing, applicants must be Malaysian citizens aged between 18 and 55, with a minimum monthly gross income of RM3,000. The application process is conducted entirely through the AEON Bank app, allowing customers to apply at their convenience without visiting a branch. As part of the verification process, salaried employees are required to provide their latest EPF statement or payslip, while self-employed individuals and commission-based employees must submit their latest six months’ bank statements to verify income consistency.

Customers are encouraged to ensure they have these documents ready before applying to prevent delays in the approval process. A step-by-step guide on retrieving the necessary statements is available on AEON Bank’s official website.

AEON Bank’s Personal Financing-i adheres strictly to Shariah principles, ensuring compliance through a dedicated Shariah Committee and a structured review process. The financing is designed based on Islamic financial guidelines, with no hidden fees or compounding interest. The bank’s Shariah Advisory team continuously reviews policies and product features to uphold compliance with Islamic finance regulations.
