Malaysia Airlines (MAS) is allowing flight cancellations with full refunds and free one-time flight changes for passengers travelling to and from mainland China (Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Xiamen) due to the recent coronavirus outbreak.

The offer is applicable to tickets that are issued on or before 28 January 2020, for travel from 28 January until 29 February 2020. If you’re opting for a flight change, your new travel dates must be on or before 31 May 2020, subject to flight availability. You can also request for a flight change even if your ticket is partially used.

To begin the cancellation and flight change process, get in touch with MAS personnel at 1 300 88 3000 if you’re in Malaysia, or +603 7843 3000 if you’re abroad.

The airline’s announcement came after the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee Secretariat’s decision to impose a temporary entry restriction on all citizens of China and other foreigners who have travelled to China in the last 14 days.
