Digital bank AEON Bank has updated its website to reveal some of the features that it is set to offer when it goes live soon this year. These include a savings account-i and debit card, Savings Pots, budgeting tools, DuitNow services, and even the AEON Points loyalty programme.
In its FAQ, AEON Bank shared that customers who open a savings account-i with the digital bank will not only enjoy attractive profit rates, but also perks like being able to personalise their account number (available on a first-come first-served basis). Aside from that, the digital bank has also confirmed that customers will receive a debit card, although no timeline has been provided for this at the moment.
Meanwhile, the bank’s Savings Pots will allow you to create multiple Pots to save for specific goals, such as emergencies, travel, and education – just to name a few. You can even simplify the process by activating features like Automatic Top-Up for regular transfers, as well as Round-Up to round up your spending to the nearest ringgit and transfer the difference to your preferred Pot.

AEON Bank further shared that it will provide customers with budgeting tools to help them keep track of their expenses and manage their monthly budget. DuitNow services – specifically DuitNow Transfer and DuitNow QR – will also be made available on the bank’s app.
Additionally, AEON Bank indicated that it will also incorporate the AEON Points loyalty programme as part of its features, allowing customers to earn AEON Points via selected transactions and view all their points (combined from AEON Bank and AEON Wallet) on their AEON Bank mobile app. For context, the AEON Points programme is operated by one of AEON Bank’s parent companies – AEON Credit Services (M) Bhd – to reward eligible Malaysians when they spend at AEON stores and affiliated outlets.
If you’d like to be one of the earliest to receive updates from AEON Bank when it launches its app, you can now register your interest by scanning the QR code provided here, and filling in the required information!
It also appears that the AEON Bank app is already available for download on Google Play and the App Store, but you will not be able to access beyond the initial screen.

To note, AEON Bank received its approval from the central bank and the Ministry of Finance to commence its digital banking operations in the country back in January 2024. At that time, it said that it is planning for a phased rollout for its app in the first half of 2024. Aside from AEON Bank, Malaysia has already seen its first digital bank, GX Bank, officially launch back in November, and Boost Bank is also set to launch soon.
