Hong Leong Rewards Cardholders With Vouchers And Gifts In Pay Safe Lah Campaign
Author Avatar

Hong Leong Bank (HLB) is currently holding a Pay Safe Lah campaign, where its credit and debit cardholders can earn a range of rewards when they spend with their cards at more than 70 partner merchant outlets. Intended to encourage contactless and cashless payments, the campaign will run from now until 31 March 2021.

HLB cardholders can win a variety of gifts when they spend a specified minimum amount at any participating merchants, ranging from grocery and convenience stores to F&B, retail, electronics, as well as services. Each merchant will have its own minimum spend requirement, and the rewards offered may vary from rebate vouchers to free products and mystery gifts. For instance, Giant Hypermarket is giving away RM20 vouchers when you spend a minimum of RM200 in a single receipt, whereas MyNews is rewarding cardholders with a can of Wonda Coffee or Floridina Juice with a minimum spend of RM15 at one go.

Note as well that most of the rewards are offered on a first-come first-served basis, with a cap on the amount of items that are given away. Some of them may also come with their own terms of use – especially vouchers – or may require you to key in redemption codes (for e-commerce stores), so be sure to double check. Additionally, certain participating merchants may opt to shake things up by varying their gifts according to the campaign months or the amount of minimum spend. For example, Pasaraya Hwa Thai offers different gifts during different campaign months, whereas DirectD customers who spend a minimum of RM1,000 and RM2,000 will also get different freebies.

One deal in this HLB campaign that you could tap into is Shopee’s offer, where HLB cardholders who are new Shopee customers can get RM10 off with a minimum spend of RM40. Meanwhile, existing Shopee customers are entitled to RM8 off with a minimum spend of RM100. Other exciting deals include discounts of between RM5 to RM150 at Pensonic for selected products, and a RM50 gift voucher from Tan Boon Ming (TBM) electronic store with any purchase.
