Public Islamic Bank To Revise Selected Branch Service Fees From 25 Feb
Author Avatar

From 25 February 2026, customers requesting bank statements over the counter will pay RM12 per request, with an additional RM0.60 charged for each page.

The revised charge is part of Public Islamic Bank’s updated schedule of fees and charges, which affects selected branch-based and manual banking services. The changes apply across several common administrative requests.

Statement Request Fees Apply Across Deposit Accounts

The revised statement request fee applies to current accounts, savings accounts, and fixed or foreign currency deposit accounts, including Islamic account variants.

Customers who regularly request printed statements at branches may want to consider alternative options, such as digital statements, to manage costs more effectively.

Stop Payment And Salary Processing Fees Updated

Public Islamic Bank has also revised charges for stop payment instructions and salary-related services.

Each stop payment instruction will be charged RM10. Manual salary crediting under the bank’s salary payment service will cost RM10.80 per request, inclusive of service tax. An additional charge of RM0.65 per employee account, inclusive of service tax, will apply.

These charges may be relevant for employers and small businesses that rely on manual salary processing through branch services.

Cheque Image Retrieval Fees Differ By Availability

Fees for cheque image retrieval will vary depending on whether the image is available in the branch’s database.

If the cheque image is available at the branch, customers will be charged RM10 per request, with an additional RM0.60 per page. For cheque images not available in the branch database, the fee increases to RM20 per request, with the same RM0.60 per page charge.

Customers requesting records for older transactions may be more likely to incur the higher charge.

Document Retrieval And Photocopy Charges Revised

Charges for retrieving and copying banking documents have also been updated.

Requests for photocopies of cheques, pay-in slips, and advices retrieved from a branch storeroom will be charged RM10.80 per request, with photocopying charged at RM0.65 per page. For documents stored offsite, the retrieval fee will be RM86.40 per request, while photocopying remains RM0.65 per page. All charges include service tax.

Photostatting documents held under the bank’s custody will be charged at RM0.65 per page.

Higher Branch Service Costs May Affect Frequent In-Person Banking

Customers who rely on branch-based or manual banking services may face higher costs under the revised charges, particularly for statement and document requests. The full schedule of fees and charges is available on Public Islamic Bank’s official website.
