New Standard Chartered Liverpool FC Cashback Card Revision Reduces Rate From 1% To 0.5%

Aside from revising the cashback benefits of the JustOne Platinum Mastercard come 1 October 2021, Standard Chartered Bank has announced that it is also making changes to the cashback terms of its Liverpool FC Cashback credit card.

Also effective from 1 October 2021 onwards, cardholders will earn 0.5% cashback on all retail purchases, subject to a monthly cap of RM50 and certain exclusions. This means you’ll earn cashback for up to RM10,000 spending, but does impact the competitiveness of this card.

At present, the Liverpool FC Cashback credit card offers 1% cashback on almost all local and international retail transactions, which was already a massive revision that was made in February 2021.

Aside from lowering the cashback rate from 1% to 0.5%, all other features of the Liverpool FC Cashback credit card remain the same. Petrol and insurance transactions still do not qualify for cashback under this credit card. Payments made to charities and government bodies, too, are not eligible.

Finally, the annual fee for the Liverpool FC Cashback credit card (principal) is also maintained at RM175 (first year waived), with supplementary cards being given for free.
