Standard Chartered Extends 15% Cashback Campaign For Smart Credit Card To December 2022

Standard Chartered has extended its Smart Credit Card 15% Cashback campaign, which allows its Smart credit cardholders to enjoy 15% cashback on their purchases with four selected online merchants. The campaign – originally slated to end on 30 September 2022 – will now run until 31 December 2022.

Similar to the previous round, cardholders who wish to participate in this campaign will still be required to first meet a minimum spend requirement of RM1,500. Upon meeting the requirement, they’ll then be eligible to 15% cashback on payments made to any of the following online merchants (capped at RM15 per campaign month):

  • Lazada (including Lazada Wallet)
  • Shopee (including ShopeePay)
  • Taobao
  • Zalora

To further note, Smart credit cardholders can actually reap a total of RM35 cashback on the back of this campaign and their Smart credit card benefits. This is because aside from the RM15 cashback from this campaign, you can also earn another RM20 cashback via the card’s 6% cashback benefit for payments made to selected digital lifestyle merchants, including Netflix, Spotify, and Astro.

Do be aware as well that only retail payments are accepted as qualifying transactions for this campaign. Transactions such as easy payment schemes (EPS), FlexiPay or FlexiPay Plus, and balance transfers are not eligible.

Finally, HSBC noted that a total of RM150,000 has been allocated for the entire campaign period, with RM50,000 earmarked for each month. Those who win will receive their cashback rewards within 12 weeks after the end of the campaign period, provided on a first-come first-served basis.
