Public Bank Berhad is offering debit card users the opportunity to earn up to RM150 in cashback each month through its PayWave debit card campaign. The promotion rewards cardholders who make eligible contactless debit card payments at local retail merchants.
The campaign is available for a limited period and is subject to registration and qualifying spend requirements.
The PayWave debit card cashback campaign runs from 18 December 2025 to 22 February 2026, inclusive. Cashback is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to the monthly allocation set by the bank.
Public Bank has allocated a total cashback pool of RM250,000 for the entire campaign period.
The campaign is open to selected Public Bank debit cardholders. Eligible cards include the Public Bank RCB Elite and Gold Debit Cards, Public Bank Lifestyle Debit Cards issued under Visa, Mastercard, or UnionPay, and the Public Bank Scholar Debit Card.
Cardholders whose savings or current accounts, or debit cards, are suspended, cancelled, or terminated during the campaign period are not eligible.
Cardholders must complete a one-time registration during the campaign period. Registration can be done through Public Bank’s online banking platform, PBe, using the campaign keyword PBSW, or by sending an SMS with the keyword PBSW to 68333.
Registration must be completed using the mobile number registered with the bank. Registrations made using a supplementary cardholder’s mobile number will not be accepted.
To qualify for cashback, registered cardholders must make contactless debit card payments at local retail merchants. Each transaction must have a minimum spend of RM80.
Cardholders who complete six qualifying contactless transactions within a month may receive RM50 in cashback. Those who complete ten qualifying contactless transactions within a month may receive RM150 in cashback. Each cardholder is entitled to a maximum cashback of RM150 per month, subject to availability.
The total cashback pool of RM250,000 is distributed across the campaign period. RM65,000 is allocated from 18 December to 31 December 2025, RM100,000 is allocated for January 2026, and RM85,000 is allocated from 1 February to 22 February 2026.
Once the monthly allocation is fully utilised, no further cashback will be awarded for that month.
Cashback earned under the campaign will be credited to the eligible cardholder’s account within four to twelve weeks after the end of each subsequent month, provided all campaign conditions are met.
Cashback is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other rewards.
Certain transaction types are excluded from this campaign. These include auto-debit arrangements, recurring payments, utility payments, insurance premiums, government-related payments, online banking and ATM transactions, refunds, disputed or unauthorised transactions, cash withdrawals, and transactions that already qualify for cashback under other Public Bank campaigns.
Cardholders who participate in this campaign will not be eligible for other Public Bank debit card usage campaigns during the same period.
This campaign rewards everyday contactless spending, but cashback is limited by monthly allocation and qualifying criteria. Cardholders are encouraged to track their transactions and review the campaign terms to ensure eligibility.
Public Bank reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the campaign with prior notice, in accordance with its published terms and conditions.
