Alliance Bank Biz-Xpress Card Adds Cashback For Overseas Business Spending
Author Avatar

Alliance Bank Malaysia has rolled out a new cashback campaign for its Biz-Xpress Card, a business debit card linked to a company’s current account, aimed at helping small businesses and entrepreneurs reduce costs when spending in foreign currencies.

The promotion, which runs from 5 January 2026 to 30 June 2026, offers cashback on eligible overseas transactions made using selected Biz-Xpress Cards. It is positioned as a way for businesses that travel or transact internationally to offset part of their day-to-day operating expenses.

A Boost For Businesses With Cross-Border Expenses

For many small and medium enterprises, overseas spending is unavoidable. This includes travel, accommodation, online subscriptions, and payments to foreign suppliers.

Because the Biz-Xpress Card draws directly from a business current account, spending is settled immediately rather than accumulated as credit. This can be helpful for businesses that prefer tighter control over cash flow while still earning rewards on international expenses.

Cashback Designed To Offset Routine Costs

The cashback applies to eligible foreign currency transactions, including both online and in-store purchases. Transactions made in ringgit are excluded, keeping the focus on cross-border business spending.

Monthly cashback is capped per eligible card, making the campaign more suitable for recurring operational expenses rather than large one-off purchases. Cashback earned will be credited to the company’s primary business current account after the campaign period ends.

Eligibility Limited To Selected Biz-Xpress Cards

The campaign is open to new and existing Biz-Xpress Cardholders, but only selected card numbers qualify. Businesses must maintain an active and valid business current account with Alliance Bank throughout the campaign period.

Accounts that are not in good standing, including those with unsatisfactory conduct or breaches of bank agreements, are excluded from participation.

Some Overseas Transactions Are Excluded

Not all foreign currency spending qualifies for cashback. Cash withdrawals, quasi-cash transactions, government-related payments, bill payments, and certain merchant categories are excluded under the campaign terms.

As transaction eligibility depends on merchant classification, businesses may want to review statements carefully to understand which charges qualify under the campaign.

The campaign operates under an overall cashback pool and is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the pool is fully utilised, cashback will no longer be awarded, even if the campaign period is still ongoing.

Businesses with regular overseas spending may therefore benefit more by participating earlier rather than later.
