Touch ‘n Go has expanded its list of partners to allow consumers to redeem their rewards points for Touch ‘n Go eWallet credit. The new additions include Hong Leong Bank (HLB) and UOB credit cardholders, as well as Genting Rewards Alliance loyalty members.
This comes just a month after Touch ‘n Go introduced this redemption option for CIMB and Standard Chartered credit cardholders, allowing them to convert rewards points for TNG eWallet credit which can be used for toll payments, paying bills, or shopping at over 250,000 stores nationwide.
HLB credit cardholders can redeem RM20 worth of Touch ‘n Go eWallet credit, but there are two redemption rates available, depending on whether you choose to redeem it online, through fax, or by calling the Hong Leong contact centre. The rate for online redemption is set at 12,500 rewards points. Meanwhile, you will need to spend 15,000 rewards points for the same value of eWallet credit if you redeem through fax or by calling the Hong Leong contact centre.
Those who opt for online redemption must log in to their HLB Connect account to access the Hong Leong Club rewards catalogue and redeem from there. Meanwhile, if you wish to redeem through fax, you will need to fill in a form and fax it to 03-7946 8888. Alternatively, you can call 03-7626 8899 to redeem through the contact centre.
Based on HLB’s redemption rates, 1 reward point is equivalent to 0.16 sen (for online) or 0.13 sen (for fax or calling the contact centre).
Note that the eWallet reload PINs that you receive will have a validity period of one year from the date it is issued. Once redeemed on the app, the credit never expires.
UOB credit cardholders can redeem RM50 worth of Touch ‘n Go eWallet credit with 34,000 UNIRinggit. However, do note that this redemption is only available for the following UOB credit cards:
The eWallet reload PIN provided is also valid for a year from the date it is issued, and you must provide a valid email address during the redemption process so that it can be sent to you. To redeem, head on over to UOB’s UNIRinggit Rewards Programme page. You can find the Touch ‘n Go eWallet reload PIN under the “Gift Vouchers” section.
Based on the UOB redemption rates for TNG eWallet credit, 1 UNIRinggit is worth 0.147 sen.
Meanwhile, Genting Rewards Alliance members can use their Genting Points (GP) to redeem Touch ‘n Go eWallet credit with a wider range of value, starting from RM10 to RM500. The redemption rates are as follows:
Similar to UOB’s redemption process, you will also receive the e-code for the eWallet reload PIN via your email, so be sure to provide a working email address during the redemption process. The e-code will be valid for 180 days from the date of issuance.
