Affin Group has announced a strategic partnership with Marriott International Malaysia, giving its customers access to 58 Marriott Bonvoy Hotels & Resorts across the country. The properties span more than 20 hotel brands, offering a wide range of choices for both leisure and business travel.

According to Affin president and chief executive officer Datuk Wan Razly Abdullah, the collaboration is designed to reward the bank’s valued customers and cardholders, particularly those under Affin Invikta and Affin Diventium private banking.

Year-long offers for Affin cardholders

Through the one-year partnership, Affin customers will enjoy specially curated stay packages at participating Marriott properties in Malaysia. Benefits also include dining privileges, food and beverage savings, as well as exclusive wedding packages.

Customers who enrol in the Marriott Bonvoy programme or use their Affin cards at Marriott Bonvoy hotels nationwide will be able to access additional campaigns centred on travel, culinary experiences, and wellness.

Business benefits for corporate clients

The collaboration also caters to corporate clients. Preferential rates are being offered for meeting rooms and ballrooms, expanding options for companies seeking convenient venues for events, conferences, and gatherings. This allows Affin’s business clientele to combine professional needs with lifestyle benefits under a single partnership.

Expanding Affin’s credit card portfolio

Affin’s credit card segment currently records an estimated RM500 million in ending net receivables. The bank is targeting to double this to RM1 billion by the end of the year or early next year.

Datuk Wan Razly explained that the collaboration with Marriott is expected to strengthen Affin’s position in the premium banking and lifestyle segment while growing its credit card customer base.

Travel fair to mark the launch

To celebrate the partnership, Affin Group and Marriott Bonvoy will jointly host the first-ever Affin x Marriott Bonvoy Travel Fair. The event will take place at Menara Affin, Tun Razak Exchange, from 15 to 16 October.

Open to the public, the fair will feature a showcase of travel and lifestyle offers. Affin cardholders will be entitled to additional privileges, giving them a head start on enjoying the new benefits.
