Instapay Technologies has teamed up with Mastercard to enhance international money transfer services for its customers through Mastercard Move — a powerful suite of money movement capabilities that enables fast, secure person-to-person and business payments across more than 180 countries in over 150 currencies.

This collaboration is set to benefit Malaysia’s community of over 3 million migrant workers, allowing them to send money home in local currencies with near real-time transfers. The partnership will initially focus on major remittance corridors, including Indonesia, Nepal, Bangladesh, India, the Philippines, and Pakistan. Through Mastercard Move, Instapay users can transfer funds directly to bank accounts, digital wallets, or cash pickup points, all while enjoying transparent tracking of fees, payment status, and estimated delivery times.

Instapay plans to roll out these enhanced services to individual users in Q2 2025, with corporate remittance solutions coming in a future phase.

“This collaboration enables us to leverage Mastercard’s vast global payment network and cross-border transfer expertise. It will enhance our remittance service to our customers, making it more efficient, secure, and cost effective”, said Rajnish Kumar, Co-founder, and CEO of Instapay Technologies.

“Our goal has always been to leverage technology to make transactions more efficient and reduce the cost per transaction. There are many innovations happening in the cross-border payment space, and this collaboration ensures we stay at the forefront of offering enhanced services to our customers”, he further added.

“As the global economy evolves, there is an ever-growing demand for more practical, cost-effective
digital solutions for cross-border payments. What is especially important for the millions of migrant
workers in Malaysia who are supporting their families back home is that the money transfer is fast,
secure and transparent,” said Beena Pothen, Country Manager, Malaysia & Brunei, Mastercard.

“Mastercard Move leverages Mastercard’s trusted card and non-card networks and innovative,
proprietary cybersecurity solutions so Instapay users can enjoy greater transparency and choice, as well
as increased security and fraud protection – empowering Malaysia’s migrant workforce with the tools
and solutions they need to live, work and transact with confidence, control and flexibility”, Beena elaborated.

Instapay Technologies is dedicated to financial inclusion, especially for unbanked migrant workers. As a licensed e-money issuer, Instapay offers a full digital financial ecosystem that includes a prepaid Mastercard card, salary crediting accounts, and affordable remittance options.

Meanwhile, Mastercard Move empowers banks, fintechs, and other financial institutions with a robust, global money transfer infrastructure. With reach to more than 95% of the world’s banked population, it supports fast and secure domestic and cross-border transfers, helping connect people and businesses to the financial services they need, wherever they are.
