KTMB's 30% Rail Discount Has Been Extended To 14 May
Author Avatar

The 30% discount under the Madani30 promotional code for Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd’s (KTMB) Electric Train Service (ETS) and Ekspres Rakyat Timuran (ERT) has been extended to 14 May 2026. The Ministry of Transport said 1.2 million seats are being made available under the initiative for travel from May to October 2026.

ETS And ERT Routes Covered

The 30% discount applies to adult tickets across all ETS sectors and ERT services on the JB Sentral-Tumpat-JB Sentral route, for travel up to 14 October 2026. The discount is valid for travel on Mondays to Thursdays only and does not apply during school holidays and public holidays. It also does not apply to ETS Business Class tickets, ERT First Class and Sleeper Class tickets, or existing concession ticket holders.

How To Redeem The Discount

Enter the promo code MADANI30 when purchasing your ticket before 14 May 2026. Tickets are available via the KTMB Mobile app, the KITS Style platform, its official website, and selected station kiosks.

The Madani30 initiative has been running since earlier this year, when KTMB increased the  discount from 20% to 30%. For commuters looking for other subsidised transport options, the My50 monthly pass continues to offer unlimited rail and bus rides in the Klang Valley for RM50 a month.
