Perodua Cuts Service And Maintenance Prices By Up To 10%
Author Avatar

Servicing your Perodua just got cheaper. Starting 19 June 2026, the national carmaker is reducing prices on maintenance parts and labour charges by up to 10% across all its authorised service centres nationwide.

The price cut applies to every Perodua model on the road, from the Myvi and Axia to the Ativa and the Bezza, and includes the QV-E electric vehicle. It covers inspections, replacement parts, and the labour charged during regular servicing.

Perodua president and CEO Datuk Seri Zainal Abidin Ahmad said the reduction is based on both parts pricing and labour, and that customers can expect to save around 10% on their average service bill.

What The Price Cut Covers

The lower prices apply to all standard service centre work, including regular inspections, wear-and-tear part replacements like filters and brake pads, and the labour hours charged during a service visit.

If you drive a Perodua and service it at an authorised centre, you should see the difference on your next bill without having to do anything extra. The savings apply automatically. The price reduction also has no announced expiry date, so it is not a time-limited promotion.

Perodua is the most common car brand in the country, with more than five million vehicles on the road. The company serviced 3.7 million cars at its centres last year alone, so even a small cut to parts and labour prices reaches a large share of drivers.

EV Owners Included

The QV-E, Perodua’s first electric vehicle, is also covered under the lower pricing. EVs generally need less maintenance than petrol cars because there is no engine oil to change and the brakes wear down more slowly. They still need regular inspections and checks, though.

Perodua recently revised the QV-E’s pricing as well. The standard purchase price is RM93,999, with a limited-time promotional price of RM87,499 available until 30 September 2026. Under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option, the car body is priced at RM69,999 (or RM63,499 during the promotional period), paired with a monthly battery lease of RM215 including tax over nine years.

How This Fits Into Your Running Costs

Owning a car in Malaysia comes with a lot of regular costs. EPF’s Belanjawanku guide estimates that having a car adds roughly RM620 per month to a single person’s budget compared to using public transport, once you include the hire purchase instalment, insurance, road tax, and maintenance.

Servicing costs tend to surprise people because they go up as the car gets older. A five-year-old Myvi costs more to service than a new one, and once the warranty ends, you pay for every replacement part and labour charge yourself. A 10% cut on those charges at an authorised centre makes it a bit cheaper to keep using genuine Perodua parts instead of going to an independent workshop.

If you are looking at a car loan or saving up for a first car, it helps to look at the full monthly cost of owning one. On top of the loan repayment, you will be paying for insurance, road tax, petrol, parking, tolls, and regular maintenance. A guide on what car you can afford based on your salary can help you work out whether the costs fit your budget.
