1. What are the interest rates for CIMB Credit Cards?
CIMB has a tiered interest rate in the range of 15% - 18% per annum as approved by Bank Negara Malaysia.
The interest rate charged will commonly be higher should you have a history of inconsistent repayments and lower interest rates if you are prompt in repayments.
2. What are the minimum monthly repayments for CIMB Credit Cards?
CIMB members are required to make minimum monthly repayments of 5% of the current balance or a minimum of RM50, whichever is higher.
The CIMB cards' monthly repayments will have to be made on the stipulated due date.
Failing to do so may result in a late payment charge of a minimum of RM10 or 1% of the total outstanding balance (excluding interests and fees), whichever is higher, and up to a maximum of RM100.
3. Which CIMB credit cards offer complimentary airport lounge access, and what are the required spending conditions?
CIMB Travel Platinum (4X Annual Access): Requires a minimum retail spend of RM3,000 in the calendar quarter to unlock one (1) complimentary visit for that quarter.
CIMB Visa Infinite (5X Annual Access): Access is complimentary for the first year. Subsequent access requires a minimum total annual retail spend of RM60,000 to renew the five visits.

4. Does CIMB offer complimentary Travel Insurance, and what are the current coverage amounts?
Yes, complimentary travel insurance is automatically provided when the full fare of the air ticket is charged to an eligible CIMB premium card.
Maximum Coverage (Travel Accident): The current maximum payout for Death/Permanent Disablement under the complimentary policy for eligible cards (such as Preferred Visa Infinite) is RM300,000.
Key Coverage: The policy includes benefits for travel expenses such as Overseas Medical Expenses (e.g., up to RM50,000) and travel interruptions like Trip Cancellation and Trip Curtailment (e.g., up to RM25,000).
Eligibility: The coverage is extended to the cardholder, their spouse, and dependent children when the full travel fare is paid using the eligible card.
5. How do I pay my CIMB Credit Card bill?
Here are the main methods:
1. Via CIMB Mobile App (CIMB OCTO App / CIMB Clicks App)
This is the most direct and recommended method for CIMB account holders, secured by SecureTAC.
Steps: Log in to the CIMB OCTO App. Navigate to 'Accounts', select 'Credit Cards', choose your card, and tap 'Pay Card'. Enter the amount and approve the transaction using SecureTAC.
(Alternative path: Select 'Top Up & Payments' then select 'Pay Loans & Cards'.)
2. Via CIMB Clicks Website (Desktop/Browser)
You can pay your card through CIMB's online banking portal.
Steps: Log in to the CIMB Clicks website. Go to 'Pay & Transfer' then select 'Pay Loans & Cards'. Select your credit card and the CIMB account you wish to debit. Enter the amount and confirm the payment using SecureTAC approval sent to your mobile app.
3. Via CIMB ATM
You can transfer funds from your CIMB Bank account directly to your credit card at any CIMB ATM.
Steps: Insert your ATM card and PIN. Select 'Others' then select 'Credit Card Payment'. Enter your card details and the payment amount, then confirm.
4. Via Other Bank Transfers (IBG/IBFT)
You can pay your CIMB credit card bill using any other bank's mobile app or online banking platform.
Steps: Initiate a transfer (IBG or IBFT). Select CIMB Bank Berhad as the recipient bank and use your 16-digit CIMB Credit Card number as the recipient account number.
