    How to Claim

    To make a claim, simply head on over to the MyClaims portal on the Zurich Page, or go to any Zurich Branch or your respective insurance Agent.

    You will be required to submit a claims form along with a few supporting documents such as;

    • Medical Reports
    • Hospital Bills
    • Bank statements for proof of payment
    • a copy of your NRIC

    Once you have it all together either send of to Zurich with your Agent or mail the documents to the Zurich Head Office, address to General Claims;

    What is Zurich FlexMed 2 Medical Card all about?

    Zurich FlexMed2 is a medical insurance protection plan to ensure you get the right care when you need it. 

    The plan offers you the benefit of No Lifetime Limit up to the age of 100. 

    There are 2 comprehensive plans to choose from, each with all the coverage you could possibly need.

    Select the plan you prefer and gain not only coverage, but a contingency for your loved ones to fall back on. 

    The Zurich insurance also comes with a deductible programme of up to RM5,000.

    How much does the medical card cover?

    Both the plans offered with FlexMed 2 covers all hospital and medical expenses in relation to housing, use of hospital equipment, supplies and services. 

    Both Zurich insurance plans also cover pre- and post-hospitalization. If you require hospitalization, all pre-hospitalization diagnostic tests and specialist consultations will be covered by the insurance company.

    On that note, you will also have access to post-hospitalization treatment within 90 days of your discharge. 

    Apart from that, there are also a few out-patient benefits that you might want to take note of. 

    If you so required it, the plans all cover costs for kidney dialysis treatment, cancer treatments, physiotherapy and emergency accidental outpatient care.

    This Zurich medical card also comes with coverage for Infectious Diseases with a benefit of RM5,000 per disease diagnosed before the age of 70 years old. 

    For an insured aged, 15 years old and under, the diseases covered are Cholera and Tuberculosis (TB). Insured aged 16 years old and above will be covered for Influenza A (Avian Influenza A -H7N9 & H5N1) and Malaria.

    Who can apply for this Zurich insurance?

    Anyone over the age of 18 can legally pick up this Zurich insurance as and when they need. 

    However, to be eligible for the protection, children need to be over 30 days old and the age band continues till the age of 69 years old.

    To enjoy coverage up the age of 100 you will need to have been registered with a policy before your 69th birthday. 

    After that it will only be a matter of renewing the policy contract every year.
