AirAsia’s Superapp To Be Rebranded As airasia move, With Integration Of BigPay Features

Capital A’s digital arm, airasia Digital has rebranded itself as Move Digital in a bid to expand its services beyond the airline industry, and the airasia Superapp will also be renamed as airasia move as part of the transformation. Along with this, the refreshed superapp will see the integration of Capital A’s BigPay into the platform as well.

Chief executive officer and co-founder Tan Sri Tony Fernandes explained that this decision will allow travellers and customers to enjoy seamless access to both travel and financial services on a single platform. Aside from being able to tap into existing services like flights, food, and e-hailing, they will also be able to easily get to features like their BigPay balance display, top-ups, and payments.

Additionally, there are plans to introduce other financial services – such as buy-now-pay-later services, checkout financing, remittance, and “bite-size” insurance in the near future as well.

“With this change, the market can expect an enriching user experience aside from more integration of BigPay features within the airasia Superapp and airasia move soon,” said Fernandes.

Fernandes further added that the transformation will be done in stages so that customers can gradually adjust to the updates. He expects the full rebranding exercise to be completed by the end of 2023.
