30th December 2021 - 2 min read
With December drawing to an end, Grab users will have a final chance in 2021 to earn up to 15x bonus GrabRewards Points via the monthly Grab Power Up campaign – happening for one day only on 31 December (tomorrow!).
Just as how it has been for October and November, you’ll be able to earn 7x bonus GrabRewards Points by making online purchases using GrabPay, and 15x bonus Points if you’re using PayLater by Grab – both capped at 10,000 Points. No minimum spend is required for you to tap into either of these rewards.
You can make use of the Grab Power Up deal at various online merchants, such as All IT Online, Machines, Applecrumby, Clarins, and more. Note that each user is allowed to make one redemption for each payment method, which means that you can technically earn up to 20,000 GrabRewards Points if you maximise the benefits of the deal via your purchases with both GrabPay and PayLater tomorrow.
Do also be aware that there is a maximum limit on the number of redemptions, capped at 35,000 redemptions for GrabPay and 7,000 redemptions for PayLater. Additionally, the bonus GrabRewards Points – which are awarded on a first-come first-served basis – will be credited instantly upon the completion of eligible transactions. Grab further clarified that Points awarded through this campaign will not contribute to a GrabRewards tier upgrade.
Meanwhile, users familiar with Grab’s monthly campaigns will inevitably also notice the absence of the usual Grab Pointsback campaign for December. For those who are unaware, Grab typically runs two campaigns at the end of every month: the Grab Power Up deal and the Grab Pointsback campaign. If activated, the Grab Pointsback campaign allows users to enjoy up to 40% pointsback when they redeem selected rewards, depending on their membership tier. It usually takes place over the last two days of the month.
Based on some queries made, Grab’s customer service representatives have confirmed that the Grab Pointsback campaign will not be hosted for December 2021. They are, however, unable to share if the campaign will make a comeback in January 2022, requesting users to “keep a close eye on your in-app notification” instead.
We will also continue to check for updates on this matter, and share future developments when they become available. In the meantime, enjoy this final round of Grab Power Up deal for 2021, and Happy New Year in advance!
