PTPTN Launches myPTPTN Mobile App To Offer Services On One Platform

The National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) has rolled out its new mobile application, myPTPTN, allowing customers to access various PTPTN services online on a single platform.

Higher Education Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad said that the services provided by the myPTPTN app include loan statement review and repayment, as well as Simpan SSPN statement review and deposits. She added that the app can also help notify users of their loan advance payment offer, loan approval, and loan payment date, with the activation of the push notification function.

Besides that, Datuk Seri Dr Noraini assured that PTPTN customers can use the mobile app without worrying as it is equipped with electronic identity verification for data protection. This includes email and mobile phone number verification upon registration, and transaction verification using the Transaction Authorisation Code (TAC).

In launching the app, the Higher Education Minister stated that myPTPTN is part of PTPTN’s initiative to accelerate the national digitalisation plan. She added that the corporation has also introduced seven payment channels last year “to ensure flexibility and convenience for customers to make payments, instead of having them go to the counter”.

Meanwhile, PTPTN chief executive Ahmad Dasuki Abdul Majid said that as of 28 February this year, the corporation has disbursed loans amounting to RM65.82 billion, and received Simpan SSPN deposits of almost RM11.51 billion.

“Statistics show that in January and February, about 1.2 million transactions worth around RM265.91 million of loan repayments were done online. This is about 51.66% of loan repayments of RM514.7 million. For Simpan SSPN, about 1.04 million online transactions deposited RM306.79 million into the fund. This is 49% of the RM626.04 million deposited,” added Ahmad Dasuki.

Ahmad Dasuki said that given the encouraging statistics of online transactions among customers, PTPTN is positive that myPTPTN will offer convenience to depositors and borrowers in managing their loan repayments, especially the younger generation.

To encourage the use of the mobile app, PTPTN is currently running the myPTPTN Klik-Klik Je! Campaign until 15 June 2022, with total prizes worth RM250,000 up for grabs. PTPTN customers may download myPTPTN at the Google Play Store, Apple App Store and Huawei AppGallery
