AmBank Rolls Out Refreshed AmOnline App With New Features For Improved User Experience
Author Avatar

AmBank announced that it has refreshed its AmOnline mobile banking app, offering not just “a sleek new look” but also several new features that are aimed at making banking faster, simpler and safer for its customers.

On its website, AmBank highlighted four new features and changes that its AmOnline app users can look forward to, starting with Quick Balance, which allows them to easily and discreetly check their account balance from the home screen, anywhere and anytime. The amount will be masked and marked with asterisks for privacy, and you can view it simply by tapping on the eye icon by the side.

Aside from that, there will now also be a Search Assistant that enables you to look for a specific feature more conveniently and accurately. Simply type what you’re looking for – or a keyword – in the search bar, and the app will suggest the right feature that can cater to your needs.

The new AmOnline app will also have a Quick Actions segment, consisting of shortcuts to all the key features in the app for your essential banking needs, such as bill payments, money transfers, and AmSecure transaction authorisation. These are organised in a way to provide you with a faster and more convenient access to these services, without having to go through several steps and pages or screens to arrive at them.

In terms of navigation, AmBank also noted that it has refined the account dashboard within the app so that you can now effortlessly switch between your savings/current accounts, fixed deposits, investments, cards, and other banking products that you use from the bank – and view the details within. No more hassle in navigating your way around just to check for your account information!

A final highlight for the upgraded AmOnline app is the Welcome Onboard Challenge, which serves as a tutorial of sorts to help you discover the key features in the app. There will be six tasks listed to help you familiarise yourself with the refreshed app, which you can complete as part of the new app experience.

On top of these new additions and changes, other existing key features that will continue to be made available to you as an AmOnline app user include the ability to link your BonusLink membership as well as Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB) and Tabung Haji accounts to your AmOnline account. These allow you to conveniently top up or keep track of your ASNB and Tabung Haji funds, or convert BonusLink Points to cash.

Lastly, the new AmOnline app will also maintain crucial and enhanced security features – including device binding protocol, a 12-hour cooling-off period, and kill switch – to ensure a safer banking experience for customers and to combat scammers more effectively.
