Bank Islam has unveiled its new digital banking platforms today, the BIMB Mobile app and BIMB Web, offering an improved, and secure experience for over four million customers nationwide.
Bank Islam’s Group Chief Operating Officer, Mohamed Iran Moriff Mohd Shariff, expressed his excitement about the new platforms, which are designed to make banking faster, easier, and safer. “Today, we’re not just unveiling new technology; it’s a reflection of our dedication to improving our services and making your banking experience smoother,” he said.
Mohamed Iran explained that the new platforms are built with an emphasis on speed, security, and customer convenience, offering a wealth of new features and a modern design. “These new platforms are designed to cater to the growing demand for faster and more reliable banking services, with enhanced functionalities and independent operation between platforms to ensure greater stability,” he said.

The new platforms also operate independently of each other, which means users will experience more stable services. Previously, Bank Islam’s Internet Banking relied on the GO app for transaction approvals, but now BIMB Web and BIMB Mobile function separately, allowing customers to continue using one platform even if the other is undergoing maintenance.
In addition to improved speed and reliability, BIMB Mobile includes all the features customers loved about the previous GO app, alongside several new functionalities. Users can now hide their total balance, customise account names, and reorder accounts to suit their personal preferences, offering more control over their banking experience.
Security is another key focus of the new platforms, with additional features to protect customers from scams and malware, including a kill switch that allows users to quickly disable their accounts in case of suspected fraudulent activity.

Mohamed Iran also emphasised that, while the platforms are equipped with state-of-the-art security measures, customers must also remain vigilant and take precautions when using the app. Additionally, he said, as always, BIMB Mobile and BIMB Web are aligned with Bank Islam’s Islamic finance values, offering features like zakat and sedekah payments, as well as integration with Tabung Haji.
He encouraged customers to begin using the new app promptly, as the transition from the GO app and Internet Banking platforms will be completed by November 2025.
Customers can now download the BIMB Mobile app from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Huawei AppGallery. Meanwhile, the BIMB Web platform has a new URL, BIMB.com, where users can access the bank’s online services.
