CTOS Offers Free MyCTOS Reports Until 21 March 2024

Credit reporting agency CTOS is once again running its CTOS Cares campaign this year, enabling new customers who sign up for the CTOS Self-Check service to receive a free MyCTOS report with CCRIS (Central Credit Reference Information System). Ongoing until 21 March 2024, this campaign is aimed at helping consumers to take charge of their credit health.

In a statement, CTOS explained that its MyCTOS report with CCRIS will offer individuals a more comprehensive look at their financial health as it carries significantly more information than the basic CCRIS report. For context, the basic CCRIS report – which can be downloaded via Bank Negara Malaysia’s eCCRIS portal – carries standard information such as your debt data, payment histories for loans and credit cards, account balances, credit limits, and bank enquiries. The MyCTOS report with CCRIS, meanwhile, contains additional details such as legal and bankruptcy cases, directorships, business interests, and non-bank debts (trade references).

“Major festive seasons are times when we tend to spend more. As a nation, we have just celebrated Chinese New Year and Raya is just around the corner, making it even more important to know our financial situation. An easy way of understanding your current credit commitments is by checking your credit report,” said the group chief executive officer of CTOS Digital Berhad, Erick Hamburger.

Hamburger also said that with this campaign, CTOS aims to help consumers better understand their credit capacity, detect potential fraud, and assist them to make better financial.

If you’re interested in claiming the free MyCTOS report with CCRIS as a new CTOS customer, head on over to the campaign’s landing page here and register for the CTOS Self-Check service; to date, more than 3.6 million Malaysians have already signed up for the CTOS Self-Check service to improve their financial health. Other users who would like to check their CTOS Score can also purchase the MyCTOS Score report here at the price of RM26.50 per report (although there are also other packages with additional features that you can check out as well).
