Caltex Will Soon Enable E-Wallet Payments, Supporting Boost, Grab, & Touch 'n Go eWallet

Caltex customers will soon have the option to pay for their petrol and other purchases through Touch ‘n Go eWallet, Boost, or GrabPay. This comes as Chevron Malaysia Ltd teamed up with cashless payment solutions provider Revenue Group Bhd to enable e-wallet services at all Caltex petrol stations nationwide. Chevron Malaysia owns and markets the retail brand Caltex in Malaysia.

The partnership will see more than 420 Caltex petrol stations be equipped with smart digital payment terminals to accept payments from the selected e-wallets. The installation is expected to wrap up by the end of August.

The country chairman of Chevron Malaysia, Jay Gomez, said that customer convenience has always been a priority for Caltex. Through this collaboration, Caltex customers will be able to choose from more and safer payment choices.

“At Caltex, we are committed to offering excellent fuel products and services. A key focus is ensuring we have industry-leading payment systems in place for our customers, and we are very pleased to be working with Revenue to introduce e-wallet payments at our petrol stations. These digital upgrades enhance the customer experience at Caltex by allowing motorists to refuel and pay with their mobile phones,” Gomez added.

Meanwhile, the managing director and group chief executive officer of Revenue Group, Eddie Ng Chee Siong, said that the partnership is timely as consumers now prefer digital payments due to the Covid-19 pandemic. “This partnership with Caltex expands our merchant footprint and is in line with our longstanding aim to drive cashless adoption in the country,” he said.
