HSBC is back with a popular cashback campaign that allows its credit and debit cardholders to earn cashback when they reload their Touch ‘n Go eWallet using HSBC cards.

Ongoing until 31 January 2021, the campaign is open to all HSBC and HSBC Amanah cardholders. Unlike the previous campaign which offered 20% additional TNG eWallet credits capped at RM30 per month, this campaign offers slightly reduced benefits: RM15 TNG eWallet credits per month with a minimum reload amount of RM100. Note that the minimum RM100 reload must be carried out in a single transaction, and that each cardholder is entitled to only one RM15 cashback every month throughout the campaign period. In other words, you can earn a total of RM90 in cashback if you make sure to reload each month.

Additionally, the campaign period differs slightly for HSBC credit and debit cardholders. While credit cardholders can tap into the campaign offer right away, debit cardholders can only join the campaign starting from October 2020.

As usual, the cashback will be awarded to eligible cardholders based on a first-come, first-served basis, and it will be credited to their Touch ‘n Go eWallet accounts within 10 working days. HSBC has allocated a total of RM520,000 for the whole campaign, with different amount earmarked for each month.

To maximise returns, a good HSBC credit card that you can consider using for this campaign is the HSBC MPower Platinum Credit Card-i. As you reload your Touch ‘n Go eWallet for the campaign, you can also tap into the card’s benefit of a bonus cashback of up to 8% on e-wallet spend once you hit an accumulated monthly expenditure of RM2,000 and above.
