TNG Introduces Special Edition Mission GreenPossible Enhanced TNG Card, Priced At RM25

Touch ‘n Go (TNG) has announced the release of yet another new special edition enhanced TNG card, equipped with near-field communication (NFC) capability. This time round, the new card is offered in collaboration with Yayasan Hijau Malaysia, under an ongoing Mission GreenPossible campaign.

This special edition card – which features key visuals from the Mission GreenPossible campaign – has a heftier price tag of RM25, in comparison to the usual RM10 charged for the standard TNG NFC card. For each card purchased, a contribution of RM1 will be made towards the Mission GreenPossible campaign, which in turn, enables trees to be planted.

Those who are interested can head on over to the official Lazada store of TNG eWallet, where you can pre-order the card. Note that you are only allowed to pay for this purchase using TNG eWallet, and each user can only purchase a maximum of four cards (one enhanced TNG card within six months from the date of purchase). Once bought, your card will be shipped in 30 days.

With regard to the GreenPossible campaign itself, TNG had announced this partnership with Yayasan Hijau Malaysia – an agency under the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources – much earlier back in October 2022. Ultimately, it aims to plant 100 million trees by 2025, guided by the theme “Our Trees, Our Life”. As of 21 November 2022, a total of 48 million trees have been planted nationwide under the campaign.

If you would like to contribute to this cause, but do not wish to purchase a special edition enhanced TNG NFC card, you can also opt to make a direct donation via your TNG eWallet. Donations can start from as little as RM1; all the donations will contribute to the growth of a virtual tree, and once a virtual tree achieves 100% growth, a batch of trees will be planted at locations determined by the agency.

TNG also explained that the donations received will fund a scope of work, from preparing tree saplings to planting and maintenance for two years. Do also be aware that you are entitled to tax exemption for your donations; you can obtain a receipt of your donation for tax deduction by contacting Yayasan Hijau Malaysia.

Aside from the Mission GreenPossible TNG NFC card, TNG had also released several other special edition cards before. The most recent is a Christmas edition charm, on top of others such as the United Voice edition and the HONOR 70 Icelandic Frost edition.
