TNG eWallet Rolls Out CarInsure Service For Private Vehicles

Touch ‘n Go (TNG) eWallet has rolled out its new CarInsure service, which allows users to purchase a comprehensive car insurance for private vehicles via the e-wallet. It offers a 10% discount on your premium as well as the service to deliver your road tax to you within 3 to 5 working days. This is on top of a free personal accident (PA) protection worth RM50,000.

Partnering with Allianz General Insurance and MSIG Insurance for this effort, TNG eWallet’s CarInsure offers a one-year coverage for accidental and fire damage, as well as theft of your vehicle. It also covers death and injury for a third party, as well as damage to the property of a third party due to the use of your vehicle. Additionally, you can purchase several add-ons for the policy if you wish to, including windscreen coverage, special perils, as well as additional and unlimited drivers.

If you’re interested to purchase your motor insurance via CarInsure, be sure to top up your TNG eWallet balance beforehand as you can only pay through the eWallet (app and website). Upon confirmation of your purchase, the e-policy document will be sent to you via email within 24 hours.

Note that the insurance offered under CarInsure is only applicable to private vehicles that are less than 15 years old, registered with the Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Malaysia (JPJ), and are used within Malaysia only. TNG also stated that it currently does not offer any motor takaful products, although it is working towards that.
