Maybank Partners With Pepsi In CNY Campaign To Offer Cashback Of Up To RM888

Maybank has collaborated with Pepsi to launch a Pepsi x MAE Prosperity Angpao Win Up To RM888 campaign, allowing customers to earn randomised cashback of between RM0.28 to RM888. The ongoing promo – which will run until 15 February 2022 – requires the bank’s customers to purchase selected Pepsi products, and then carry out a separate Scan & Pay transaction of RM0.01 to win the cashback reward.

To participate in this campaign, Maybank customers must first ensure that they have registered and activated the Scan & Pay function on their Maybank2u or MAE by Maybank2u (MAE) app. Once done, go ahead and purchase a carton of Pepsi, Pepsi Black, 7UP, or Kickapoo (Chinese New Year Value Pack Carton (24x320ml)) from the following retailers, using any of your preferred payment methods:

  • Hero Market
  • AEON BiG
  • AEON
  • EconSave
  • Mydin
  • Giant
  • TF Value Mart
  • 99 Speedmart
  • Tesco/Lotus’s

Within the carton, you’ll find a MAE Prosperity Angpao card containing a dedicated QR code for this campaign, which you then need to scan with your Scan & Pay function and make a payment of RM0.01 – similar to the procedure used for the bank’s 1 SEN-Sation campaign. From there, the cashback reward will be awarded to you randomly by Maybank’s randomiser programme, credited to your account within seven working days from each eligible transaction.

Each Maybank customer is entitled to one earning opportunity during each campaign month, which means that in total, you get three chances throughout the entire campaign period. Specifically, the schedule is as follows:

  • Period 1: 5 – 31 December 2021 (1x chance)
  • Period 2: 1 – 31 January 2022 (1x chance)
  • Period 3: 1 – 15 February 2022 (1x chance)

Note as well that you must set the source of fund for your Scan & Pay feature to your current, savings, or MAE accounts in order to qualify for this campaign. If your source of fund is set to a Maybank debit or credit card, your RM0.01 Scan & Pay transaction for this campaign will be disqualified, and you will not win any cashback rewards.

Finally, do be aware that Maybank has earmarked a total of RM388,000 for the entire campaign period, with the rewards to be provided on a first-come first-served basis.
