Senheng Committed To Helping Malaysians Maximise Savings, Unlock Rewarding Lifestyle Through Senheng App

Senheng has reiterated its commitment to helping Malaysians maximise savings and unlock a more rewarding lifestyle through its Senheng App. Among other things, the app – which has been updated recently – hinges on key features such as the S-Coin loyalty programme and redemption centre.

Chief of all, Senheng describes its app as an “all-in-one” platform that offers not only electronics products to be purchased – which is what Senheng is best known for – but over 30,000 lifestyle products and daily necessities, encompassing groceries, fashion, mobile and game reloads, and even entertainment tickets. Notable partners who are listed on the Senheng App include Mydin, Redtick, Nestlé, Maggi, and Healthlane Pharmacy. This, of course, serves to make the Senheng App instantly more relevant to individuals on a day-to-day basis.

But beyond the diversity of available products, the Senheng App is also made more attractive to customers because of its S-Coin loyalty programme, where you can earn S-Coins by making purchases from Senheng (up to 100% cashback in S-Coins) or by participating in activities within the app (such as playing games). These S-Coins can then be redeemed to offset the cost of your purchases at the rate of 100 S-Coins = RM1, but do note that you must be a PlusOne member in order to do so (which requires you to pay an annual fee starting from RM12, although it also comes with additional perks, including extended warranty).

Senheng believes that its Senheng App and S-Coin programme will continue to be a valuable offering in enhancing its customers’ shopping experience, enabling them to get more value for their money. This conviction is supported by data that it had collected; the Senheng App has seen a significant uptick in app downloads, with more than 2x increase between the first quarter of 2023 (1Q23) to the first quarter of 2024 (1Q24). This is complemented by an increase of more than 3x in Senheng PlusOne membership registrations.

Similarly, Senheng saw a 23% increase in S-Coin collection from 1Q23 to 1Q24 through the app, which demonstrates that shoppers actively leverage loyalty programmes to offset rising costs. There is also a 60% increase in active S-Coin users from 1Q23 to 1Q24, indicating the programme’s value in customers’ daily life.

“At Senheng, we’re committed to empowering Malaysians to live their best lives. The surge in S-Coin adoption reflects a broader shift towards digital rewards and convenience. Through the Senheng App, we’re proud to offer a platform that not only simplifies shopping but also enhances lifestyles, enabling Malaysians to make every ringgit count,” said the general manager of Senheng App, Lew Wai Hoong.

Moving forward, Senheng is looking to further enhance its app with even more beneficial features and services, one of which is the Repair pillar. As the name suggests, app users will be able to request for repair services for damaged appliances, including those that are not purchased from Senheng. No concrete timeline has been revealed as of yet, however.

For context, the Senheng App was first launched back in 2022, and it was subsequently followed by the introduction of the S-Coin Redemption Centre in August 2023. If you’re interested to find out more about the Senheng App, you can head on over to its official website here.
