Touch ‘n Go (TNG) has launched two limited edition items in celebration of the upcoming Chinese New Year festivities, namely a new enhanced TNG card with dragon motif, as well as a dragon-themed charm that also functions as an enhanced TNG card. This is in line with the fact that 2024 is the Year of the Wood Dragon, as per the Chinese zodiac cycle.
As you can see in the visual above, the new enhanced TNG card features a red background with a bold gold dragon motif at the forefront. Aside from its CNY-themed aesthetic, the card works exactly like the regular enhanced TNG card, which means that you can reload it conveniently from your TNG eWallet via the near-field communication (NFC) function, and use it to pay for expenses like parking and toll fees.
Priced at RM25 each, this special card is currently sold out on TNG eWallet’s official Shopee store, but you can put in a pre-order for it, if you like. It is expected to ship in seven days.
Meanwhile, the CNY-themed charm comes in the form of a grinning red-and-yellow dragon that’s clutching a gold sycee. Offering the same functions as an enhanced TNG card, this special charm will set you back by RM30. Like the CNY-themed enhanced TNG card, you can also pre-order this charm now from TNG’s Shopee store, but it will take a longer period of 14 days to ship out.
These CNY-themed items come just a couple of months after TNG introduced its premium-looking enhanced TNG LUXE Card Titan Edition, featuring a black-and-gold colour combination. TNG had also rolled out several other limited edition cards and charms in the past to commemorate special festive seasons and occasions. These include the Christmas edition gingerbread man charm, as well as the limited edition enhanced TNG cards featuring selected national badminton players in conjunction with the Petronas Malaysia Open 2023.
