TNG Partners With BAM To Release Limited Edition TNG NFC Cards Featuring Badminton Stars
Author Avatar

Touch ‘n Go (TNG) is releasing yet another limited edition enhanced TNG card with near-field communication (NFC) capability, this time in collaboration with the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM). Introduced in conjunction with the ongoing Petronas Malaysia Open 2023, the cards will feature several of Malaysia’s badminton stars.

These new exclusive cards will feature the images of men’s double players, Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik, as well as Nur Izzudin Rumsani and Goh Sze Fei. Women’s doubles representatives, Pearly Tan and Thinaah Murautharan, too, are included in the list of elites to be featured. There will also be a card featuring men’s single player Ng Tze Yong. Aside from their images, the cards will carry the printed signatures of the players as well.

One little catch, however: these cards can only be purchased exclusively during this upcoming weekend (14 and 15 January) at the Petronas Malaysia Open 2023 event, which is currently happening at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil (BAM Juara Fest area). Those who are interested will need to visit the TNG booths at the location (Carpark D).

Neither TNG nor BAM have released details about the price of the cards, but based on previous instances, customers can expect them to cost more than the usual RM10 charged for standard TNG NFC cards. Earlier limited edition cards by TNG – such as the United Voice and Mission GreenPossible cards – were priced at RM25 per piece, while the Christmas charm that functioned similarly to the TNG NFC card was priced at RM30 per piece.

While badminton enthusiasts anticipate the arrival of the new limited edition cards this weekend, the TNG booths at the BAM Juara Fest at Axiata Arena also offer a special bundle deal in the interim, consisting of the standard TNG NFC card and an RFID self-fitment kit. Priced at RM40, the deal will let you save RM5 as the NFC card and kit usually cost RM10 and RM35, respectively. Stock is limited, however, so do visit the booths as soon as you can if you’d like to purchase the bundle.
