Maybank Transitions To Secure2u For Online Transactions Effective Today
Author Avatar

Maybank has announced a change to its online transaction security measures, with Secure2u authorisation via the MAE app set to completely replace the MSOS Code (SMS One-time Password) for all Maybank Cards online transactions, effective today.

The transition is part of the bank’s ongoing efforts to enhance the security of online transactions. Customers are encouraged to download the MAE app from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Huawei AppGallery and activate Secure2u as soon as possible to ensure seamless transactions.

To activate Secure2u, users must tap ‘Secure2u’ under ‘Quick Actions’ in the MAE app, complete the registration process, and finalise activation at a Maybank ATM. The bank has also highlighted that Secure2u features a minimum 12-hour activation period upon first-time activation or activation on a new device, as an added security measure to prevent unauthorised access.

Maybank urges all customers to make the switch to Secure2u promptly to avoid any disruption to their online transactions. Further information and step-by-step guidance are available on the bank’s website.
