Maybank Reinstates Original Minimum Spend Requirement Of Premier Credit Cards For Annual Fee Waiver
Author Avatar

Maybank has reinstated the original minimum annual spend requirement that must be met by customers holding selected credit cards to be entitled to an automatic annual fee waiver for 2023.

In its notice, Maybank clarified that customers are once again required to spend a minimum of RM80,000 per annum in order to enjoy an annual fee waiver for the following premier cards:

  • Maybank 2 Cards Premier
  • Maybank World Mastercard
  • Maybank Visa Infinite
  • Maybank Visa Infinite Diamanté
  • Maybank Manchester United Visa Infinite
  • Maybank Islamic World Mastercard Ikhwan Card-i
  • Maybank Islamic Ikhwan Visa Infinite Card-i

This latest update came following an earlier announcement by the bank back in February 2022, which allowed the cardholders of these cards to enjoy the fee waiver in 2022 at a reduced minimum annual spending of RM50,000. The reduction was provided as “a gesture of [the bank’s] appreciation for [customers’] continuous support”.

For individuals who have questions regarding this reinstatement of the original minimal annual spend requirement for the seven cards, you can contact Maybank’s customer care hotline at 1300 88 6688.
