Boost's TNB Bill Payment Feature Temporarily Went Live Today
Author Avatar

For a good few hours today, Boost’s Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) electricity bill payment feature went live, putting it several days ahead of the scheduled date mentioned in its teaser post. It was, of course, eventually taken down, but not before giving users a preview of how it’ll work – and giving users a free RM3 partner wallet for TNB bill payments.

TNB was temporarily listed as a biller under BoostBills this morning under the “Electricity” tab. From there, you’ll be prompted to key in your TNB account number, and can then proceed to pay your electricity bills as you would your other obligations. In fact, we have even received comments from a few RinggitPlus readers who said that they managed to pay their TNB bills on Boost and were able to utilise the RM3 partner wallet bonus, before Boost took down TNB in its billers list.

Aside from Boost, it was also hinted that TNB will be enabling electricity bill payments via Touch ‘n Go eWallet as well. The feature is expected to come live on 13 November 2021.
