Shopee Offers RM500 Worth Of Vouchers And Other Perks For ePemula Claimants

Like all the other ePemula e-wallet partners, ShopeePay, too, is boosting the RM150 ePemula credit provided by the government with some additional incentives of its own. Individuals who claim their ePemula credit with ShopeePay will be rewarded with exclusive Shopee vouchers amounting to RM500, along with some other extra perks.

According to Shopee’s ePemula landing page, the vouchers worth RM500 will be provided to the claimants in the form of:

  • ShopeeFood free delivery and food discount vouchers
  • ShopeePay cashback vouchers
  • Shopee Mall brand vouchers

On top of these, ePemula recipients can also grab themselves a free YES SIM card with up to 40GB of free mobile data vouchers (worth up to RM50), as well as Siswa Mall vouchers (worth up to RM200). Briefly, Siswa Mall is a separate collaboration between the Ministry of Higher Education and Shopee to encourage entrepreneurship among students and IPT graduates.

There are also early-bird bonuses available. The first 200,000 claimants who register for ePemula with ShopeePay will get another RM100 in the form of vouchers from top brands – in addition to the RM500 incentives mentioned above. These extra brand vouchers include major names such as Guardian, Cold Storage, and Polo Hill.

Additionally, the first 20,000 successful ePemula claimants can enjoy 3% Coins cashback (capped at 300 Coins per transaction) when they pay for their purchases by scanning any DuitNow QR code using ShopeePay. You will not need to meet any minimum spend requirement to enjoy this, but you must have successfully claimed your ePemula credit and received the RM500 vouchers mentioned above. This cashback is offered only until 10 June 2022.

If you wish to claim your ePemula credit with ShopeePay, tap on the ePemula tile in your app, followed by “Claim Now”. You will then need to fill in the application form. Make sure to verify your ShopeePay account beforehand as well!

Your application will be processed within three days, and if successful, you will receive a notification, along with your RM150 ePemula credit in your account. Meanwhile, the extra incentives of RM500 vouchers will be directly credited into your ShopeePay account within 24 hours of your successful application.

Note that your ePemula credit is strictly for in-store purchases only, while the extra vouchers by Shopee can be used for online as well as offline purchases – depending on their terms and conditions.

Besides ShopeePay, other ePemula e-wallet providers – GrabPay, BigPay and Touch ‘n Go eWallet – are also offering a range of interesting perks in addition to the ePemula credit. Make sure to check them out before registering; you can register for ePemula starting from today until 1 June 2022.
