TNG eWallet Introduces New GOrewards Loyalty Programme With Points Collection
Author Avatar

Touch ‘n Go (TNG) eWallet has rolled out a new GOrewards loyalty programme, where users will now be able to collect points when making payments with their TNG eWallet and TNG Visa prepaid card. The new feature has been made live for all TNG eWallet users.

In its FAQ page, TNG eWallet said that under the new GOrewards programme, users will be able to earn 1 point for every RM1 spent (standard earning), but some participating merchant partners will offer bonus points, allowing you to collect up to 6 points for every RM1 spent. These points can then be used to redeem rewards from the programme’s catalogue, with participating merchants such as 7-Eleven, Taco Bell, Zus Coffee, BHPetrol, and CelcomDigi – just to name a few.

Note, though, that the bonus points will only be issued for payments made with the TNG eWallet app and not the TNG Visa prepaid card; payments via the TNG Visa card are only entitled to standard points earning.

Here’s the full list of transactions and payments that will reward you with points:

  • “Pay” QR code payments
  • “Scan” QR code payments (only for TNGD QR codes and DuitNow QR codes issued by TNG eWallet)
  • Online payments
  • Bill payments
  • Telco transactions
  • App store purchases (Apple App Store and Google Play)
  • In-app insurance purchases
  • GOremit transactions (outbound international remittance)
  • TNG Visa prepaid card transactions

Additionally, users who use their TNG eWallet or the TNG Visa prepaid card for cross-border transactions when travelling abroad will also be able to earn points.

The points earned will be awarded immediately to you, but do be aware that they have a validity period of six months, so make sure to redeem them before they expire! You can check the expiry date, along with your transaction history and points balance in the “View Point History” page within your TNG eWallet app.

To begin tapping into the perks of the new GOrewards loyalty programme, you’ll need to first enable it in your app and join as a member (no payment is required). Simply fire up your app and tap on the GOrewards tile on the home screen. From there, select “Join Now” and you’ll be able to view all the perks provided under the programme.

For context, TNG eWallet’s previous GOrewards programme hinged primarily on the monthly Goal Hunter programme – where you collect stamps by performing transactions to unlock reward vouchers – as well as the Alipay+ Daily Check-In programme to earn daily vouchers. Both of these are still available, and can be accessed from the GOrewards page.
