ASNB Introduces Robo-Advisor RIA Within myASNB App
Author Avatar

Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB) has upgraded its myASNB app with a new Robo Investment Advisor (RIA) feature. This is aimed at making investing easier and more accessible to all Malaysians as they take charge of their financial future.

In a statement, ASNB – which is a subsidiary of Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) – explained that RIA seeks to offer a user-friendly and personalised investment experience, as well as address common challenges when making investment decisions. Chief of all, it can recommend personalised portfolios to you based on your financial goals and risk profile, ranging from Very Conservative to Very Aggressive.

These portfolios will draw from four different funds and assets, with different allocations for each asset to match your profile, as shown below:

Moderate15%21%63%1%

Additionally, RIA – which is powered by advanced algorithms and available in both Bahasa Malaysia and English – will automatically rebalance your asset allocation from time to time, ensuring that your portfolio is always aligned to your profile while maximising your potential returns. Aside from that, you can automate certain tasks on RIA, such as setting up recurring deposits through the Auto Labur function, as well as get personalised advice on your investments.

ASNB further noted that the minimum deposit amount required to begin investing via RIA is set at a low RM100, with no maximum limit. This allows it to cater to the needs of existing ASNB unitholders, as well as first-time investors with smaller budgets. Income distribution will also be done three times per year (if available), unlike for those who purchase ASNB funds directly (income distribution once a year).

Note that RIA has a management/wrap fee of 0.30% p.a., but this is waived until 31 December 2024 when you open a RIA account through the myASNB app (RIA is an app-exclusive feature!).

Chief executive officer and executive director of ASNB, Muzzaffar Othman said that the introduction of RIA resonates with its parent company, PNB’s purpose to uplift the financial lives of Malaysians across generations.

“With the introduction of RIA, investing is as simple as a touch, putting the power in our unitholders’ hands to navigate their financial future. At ASNB, customers are always at the centre of our heart as we strive to continuously improve our product and service offerings,” said Othman.

Lastly, the new RIA feature will be rolled out in stages to myASNB users over the upcoming weeks. Existing users will need to update their app to the latest version, after which they can access RIA directly from it. Meanwhile, interested individuals who are new can download the myASNB app from Google Play, the App Store, and the Huawei AppGallery to start their investment journey with RIA.
