JBL Launches New Range Of Authentic Speakers And Spinner BT Turntable
Author Avatar

JBL has launched its latest range of Authentics speakers – consisting of three models, namely the JBL Authentics 200, 300, and 500 – as well as the Spinner BT Turntable in Malaysia. The new products, which are aimed at home audio enthusiasts, sought to unite the classic style of JBL’s legacy and the latest audio technology.

Of the three new speaker models launched, the JBL Authentics 500 is the top model, featuring a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth smart speaker with Dolby Atmos. Meanwhile, the JBL Authentics 300 – ideal for on-the-go use with its 8-hour battery – offers an immersive listening experience through its 25mm tweeters and 5.25-inch woofer. Lastly, the JBL Authentics 200 features the same 25mm tweeters and enhances its sound with a 5-inch woofer backed by a 6-inch passive radiator.

Aside from that, JBL has also collaborated with Amazon and Google to integrate voice assistants with its new line of speakers, which you can access simultaneously as you listen to your tracks. This allows for a more seamless user experience.

In addition to the Authentics speakers, JBL has introduced the Spinner BT turntable for vinyl enthusiasts, too, with an aluminium tonearm and platter set on a black Medium-Density Fiberboard (MDF) plinth. It plays records at two key speeds: one for full albums and another for single tracks. This turntable also comes with Bluetooth connection, allowing you to pair it conveniently to your speakers or headphones. Featuring an adjustable aluminium tonearm and a pre-installed moving magnet cartridge, the Spinner BT is designed to appeal to record collectors and to offer easier maintenance.

“The JBL Authentics line is the next design step for us, bringing quality sound technology in an attractive package for the home. When past and present merge, you have an attractive product with redesigned Quadrex grille delivering simultaneous voice assistants from Google and Amazon; which is something only 77 years of heritage can offer. Add the Spinner BT turntable and now you can enjoy true recording quality that only vinyl can provide.” said Henry Yap, the managing director of Global Best United (M) Sdn. Bhd.

Price-wise, the new line of JBL Authentics speakers starts from RM1,999 upwards, while the JBL Spinner BT turntable can be purchased at RM3,299. All the products can be bought through the JBL online store and authorised retail partners.
