Lazada has partnered with Axiata Digital’s fintech platform, Aspirasi, to offer micro-financing loans of up to RM2,500, which will be credited straight into the customer’s Lazada Wallet. The shariah-compliant service, Aspirasi CashNow, has a repayment tenure of between 6 to 12 months with a profit rate of 1.25% per month, and it also comes with a free personal accident insurance plan.
Specifically, Aspirasi CashNow allows you to apply for loans of between RM500 to RM2,500 (in multiples of RM500 only), which you can then repay through instalments of 6, 9 or 12 months. No guarantor or collateral will be required to take up this loan, although there are some additional fees that you will need to pay to apply (such as a wakalah fee of RM5, Sales and Services Tax (SST), and stamping fees). If your application is successful, the money will be directly credited into your registered Lazada Wallet within 2 working days.
Meanwhile, the free insurance plan provided through the Aspirasi CashNow microfinancing service is underwritten by Great Eastern General Insurance, with a coverage duration of between 6 to 12 months – depending on your loan tenure. Simply dubbed Aspirasi CashNow Protect, it offers three key benefits:
To be eligible for the Aspirasi CashNow micro-financing aid, you must be a Malaysian or a MyKad holder aged between 18 to 65 years old, with a verified Lazada Wallet account. Applications can be made via Lazada’s website and mobile app. If you plan to apply soon, you may also benefit from an ongoing campaign by the e-commerce platform, where the first 1,000 successful applicants will be able to win RM50 worth of Lazada vouchers.
