Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Air Negara (SPAN) has announced that it is bringing back its Jimat Air campaign for yet another round, this time for its fourth iteration. Once again rolled out in collaboration with Shopee, Jimat Air 4.0 will provide consumers with up to RM400 rebate vouchers for water-efficient home appliances.
Under Jimat Air 4.0, consumers will be able to tap into the following vouchers for discounts when they purchase selected items online from participating merchants:
These Jimat Air 4.0 vouchers will be automatically credited to your Shopee account starting from 23 March 2023 onwards (likely in batches), provided you successfully verify your ShopeePay e-wallet by 19 March. Once it is credited, you will be able to find them in the “My Vouchers” section – which you can access from your Shopee account page.
From there, just tap on the “Use” button, and you’ll be able to browse through a list of products that can be purchased with the Jimat Air 4.0 vouchers. Participating merchants include Power Planet, Ga Hing, and Smart Lifestyle Distributor, selling products from a variety of brands such as Midea, Electrolux, Toshiba, LG, and Bareno. Upon finding something that you like, go ahead and check out as usual; the Jimat Air 4.0 voucher will be automatically applied.
Make sure to also check the terms and conditions for using the vouchers, in case there are limitations imposed on your redemption eligibility if you’ve made purchases via previous Jimat Air campaigns before. This is because under Jimat Air 3.0, users who had previously redeemed discount vouchers during Jimat Air 1.0 and 2.0 were not eligible to claim Jimat Air 3.0 vouchers from the same categories – so best to double confirm before making your purchases!
SPAN and Shopee both have yet to release an FAQ clarifying this, but they may do so closer to the date of release of the vouchers. Alternatively, you can reach out to SPAN at 03-8317 9333 or email them at [email protected] if you’d like to enquire about this matter, or have any other questions.
SPAN said that Jimat Air 4.0 is a continuation of its efforts from Jimat Air 1.0 to Jimat Air 3.0, and maintains its original aim of increasing public awareness regarding the use of water-efficient home appliances and fixtures, as well as improving the public’s accessibility to these items. Specifically, these products must be recognised under the Water-Efficient Product Labelling Scheme (WEPLS) guidelines set by SPAN.
Finally, note that the Jimat Air 4.0 campaign is set to run until the end of June 2023, with the vouchers to be utilised on a first-come first-serve basis with a total allocation of RM100,000 by SPAN.
