TNG Releases Christmas Edition Charm With Same Capability As Enhanced TNG NFC Card
Author Avatar

Touch ‘n Go (TNG) has introduced a brand-new Christmas-exclusive merchandise in the form of a gingerbread man charm that goes beyond just being a pretty accessory. Described as “the first of its kind to be released”, this limited-edition item also offers the exact same functions as the popular enhanced TNG card with near-field communication (NFC) capability – which means you can make payments with it as well as reload it with credit directly from your TNG eWallet via NFC.

Available for purchase on TNG eWallet’s official Lazada shop, as well as selected service and sales centres, TNG explained that the charm can be used as usual to pay toll fees, train and bus fares, and parking charges. Registering and reloading the TNG charm via TNG eWallet, too, is done in the same way as you would normally do with an enhanced TNG card – by tapping the charm to the back of your mobile phone (with the NFC function enabled).

If you’re uncertain, here’s a tutorial video from TNG to help you out:

The charm is officially priced at RM30 per piece, and each customer can only purchase a maximum of two charms (although it is currently out of stock on the Lazada shop). On its Facebook page, TNG further said that the charm will be sold on the e-shop in six batches, starting from 12.12pm until 10.12pm today (12 December) – so be sure to check back frequently! If you do manage to pre-order the charm, deliveries will begin on 20 December 2022 onwards.

TNG had begun teasing the arrival of its Christmas charm since Wednesday last week (7 December), before eventually announcing it today. Meanwhile, the highly sought-after enhanced TNG card – which is also available for sale on TNG’s Lazada store – was launched back in April 2022.
