CIMB: Apple Pay Support Coming In H2 2023
Author Avatar

CIMB has shared that support for Apple Pay will not be happening anytime soon. In fact, the bank may only support Apple Pay in the first half of next year.

Speaking to the media after the launch of the new CIMB Octo mobile banking app, Ros Yusoff, the Group Chief Technology & Data Officer, mentioned that while CIMB is committed to supporting Apple Pay for its cards in Malaysia, it is focused on enhancing the features of the new CIMB Octo app which was just launched today.

As such, the rollout for Apple Pay support for CIMB cards may only take place in the second half of 2023.

Apple Pay, which launched in Malaysia last week, currently only supports credit and debit cards from three banks: AmBank, Maybank, and Standard Chartered Bank.
